Stefan Kraupner, born in 1996 in Germany, is currently based in Berlin. He earned a bachelor's degree after studying Mechanical Design Engineering in Ravensburg, Germany, and Edinburgh, UK. After working full-time as a design engineer, he studied the digitalisation of industries, society, culture, and the Ethics of AI in Gothenburg, Sweden. In 2021, after receiving his master's degree in Informatics from the University of Gothenburg, Stefan decided to move to Berlin and work with photography.

In his current artistic work, he is facing his own disease and disability, and is interested in health and well-being of our bodies and bodies of nature related to society, digitalisation, and climate crisis. He uses an intersectional lens to reflect on systems of patriarchic oppression and how they influence our relationship to our and nature’s bodies.

With his images, he is reconsidering the way he sees the world. Fascinated by the beauty of the world and the way subjects are able to build connections and evoke emotions.

Besides his work in photography, he co-founded the motiva art festival in his hometown of Biberach Riß to create an accessible space for young people interested in arts.
